Heather's experience as a former officer and her extensive background as a trainer and coach allows her to deliver an outstanding officer traning program.
She can customize her program to meet your needs, topics and timeline. Below is a sample agenda of her two-day program. |
Day One |
| 9:00 - 9:30am |
Introduction/Icebreakers |
9:30 - 10:15am |
Attitude is Everything
We all have a purpose on earth. Heather believes a part of that purpose is to throw little torches out to lead people through the dark. She inspires others simply to believe; believe in their ability to achieve greatness, overcome obstacles, exercise personal power, and make a difference in the lives of others. Heather encourages her audience to possess a winning attitude, set goals, and be focused and motivated. She challenges students to be a contributor, not a contaminator. Through personal stories, participants learn that an uplifting attitude can change lives. Don’t be average… be extraordinary! |
10:15 - 11:45am |
Team Building Games |
11:45 - 1:00pm |
Live, Laugh and Lead
Warning: this workshop is only for people who like to laugh, interact, talk, and never sit down! An empty room, music, beach balls and hula-hoops are required… get the idea? Positive leadership skills including forgiveness, risk taking and teamwork are explored and then practiced. Participants leave ready to use the leadership and life skills learned during this workshop. |
1:00 - 2:00pm |
Lunch |
2:00 - 4:00pm |
Up Front and Not Afraid
Public speaking is the number one fear among people. However, feeling comfortable in front of a group is an important skill to possess. Heather believes that ease in front of an audience can help anyone achieve their goals and she wants to teach this to others. Fun and highly interactive, this workshop will leave every participant a better presenter. Highlights include microphone skills, body language, voice inflection, the art of concise communication, eye contact and much more. |
Day Two |
9:00 - 9:45am |
Icebreaker |
9:45 - 10:00am |
Skill Review from Day One |
10:00 - 12:00pm |
Diversity and Working Effectively with Others
Leaders will always be required to interact with a wide-variety of people. People with differing perspectives, beliefs and backgrounds. Effective leaders understand the importance of listening, asking questions, observing with an open mind, and the likely mistake of failing to see things from a different vantage point. All of this builds awareness of how diverse perspectives can profoundly impact the way people live, think and behave. |

Conflict & Problem Solving for Leaders
Leaders are often great problem solvers-that’s how they got there in the first place! A good leader has the ability to transfer their problem solving skills to the team. An effective leader can “read” the team and provide the appropriate amount of guidance and clarification for resolving conflict. You’ll learn how to influence your team’s attitudes to create a solution, thereby creating opportunities for improvement. In addition, you will practice facilitating problem solving processes to develop the tools for “working things out." |
